Emalia passed away this morning at home in Paia with JB and her mom by her side. She got to say a sweet goodbye to Kahala before he went to school. Just after JB returned home, her breathing slowed and then stopped. JB said it was as peaceful as he could imagine and she was smiling in her last moments. As it has been since the beginning of this journey, the love and support from all of you has been amazing. Thank you.
Love you, sweet girl. We will see you soon.

ReplyDelete"To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." (Ralph Waldo Emerson) Big Love to you all from Sarah Bott & Kelly Ray Mulholland

Once upon a time, long ago (47 years ago) my beautiful mommy's spirit was born an Earthangel on Feb. 10. A fatal illness would take her back home to Heaven, leaving my devastated 34 yr.old daddy the task to raise me and 4 other young sibblings without the "Love of his life and our "real family jewel". As daddy's girl, I could here his tears in the darkness of the next room. Ohana, strangers and "God's precious angels were there for us and the horrific trama and healing needed for the rest of the journey. This was PIVOTAL for me and my family. You all will make the difference for dear JB and ohana. 20 yrs. later, my next door neighbor a young girl(same age as me when I lost mommy ,lost her mommy and daddy suddenly. I raised her as my own, and knew what she needed for the healing journey. Love and Light inside of each of us is for "the giving." Today and everyday, WE are all connected spirit. Although I was a volunteer in Cancer Treatment Center, at Alta Bates Berkeley, Ca. I never came to meet EM. God's calling, brought me to her via a mutual friend @ year ago online and I tried to get prayer chain started here in Maui, called out to do a fundraiser at Mama's that never transpired, and friended dear Jb to be yet another encouraging soul for His journey. This love will Go on, but I pray we will look in on the loved ones left behind, and do some small significant part to lift them up on the days hardest to endure. Everyone says I have my mom's smile. I feel EM's spirit and contagious smile and spirit Shining so strong. God's comfort and mercy be with you all in the knowing, she Is with you for all time. jmauiangel
